Cloud_fiber explores the boundaries between the physical and the digital, and between the geometric and organic through colors, textures and shapes. The work is a collaborative piece between artist and audience. When audience engage with the artwork, a white canvas comes to life with movement and colors.
This interactive installation was created by an interdisciplinary team for participation in Project RunAway – a wearable art competition at Wichita State University, where it was awarded the Best-In-Show entry – the highest award in the competition.
The physical part of the artwork is comprised of two wearable ensembles. The installation uses a camera to capture motion. The software detects the motion and translates it into digital blocks and sounds that respond to movement in real time, and are projected onto the body of the wearable frame.
